Piedmont Community College EMS Lab & Instructional Classroom Conversion

MHAworks was hired by Piedmont Community College to renovate their existing cosmetology classroom into an EMS lab and instructional classroom on their Caswell County campus in Yanceyville. The EMS lab room includes five nursing beds set up to simulate an emergency room environment, as well as an area for students to practice other medical procedures such as inserting IVs and phlebotomy.

The existing exterior entrance to the classroom was demolished and replaced with a new aluminum storefront entrance with a new canopy covering the entrance. A new acoustical tile ceiling and LED lighting was also installed to create a brighter, more comfortable space. Additional work included HVAC, electrical, plumbing, new finishes and flooring, updated fire alarms, and new storage space.
