Creedmoor Community Center

The City of Creedmoor enlisted MHAworks to revitalize its Senior Center and construct an extension to the community center and to facilitate a range of community programs for people of all ages. MHAworks collaborated closely with the stakeholders and leadership of the City of Creedmoor to determine the design elements that should be included in the project. Moreover, MHAworks supported the owner in submitting the PARTF (Parks and Recreation Trust Fund) grant application, and it was successful in obtaining a $500,000 grant to finance the recreational components of the project.

The project encompasses around 22,000 square feet of upgrades to the original community center and the addition of a recreational facility that can support the City’s community events and programs.

The center boasts the Willow Oak Room, a ballroom that can be rented for community and private events; a versatile classroom space that can be divided into two parts; an aerobic exercise room; a computer lab; and the South Granville Senior Center, which comes with a prep kitchen, administrative offices, and a sunroom that leads outside to a spacious deck.

The new gymnasium features a full-sized basketball court, an open exercise area equipped with gym equipment, an indoor walking track, and recreation staff office space. Outside of the gym, there is a partially shaded, paved walking track and a multipurpose athletic field.
