Culinary Arts Program

The Culinary Arts program at Alamance Community College provides specialized training to prepare students to assume various positions as trained culinary professionals. MHAworks converted roughly 5,000 square feet of educational space into an expanded kitchen area for the Culinary Arts program.

This renovation provides a dining space with a maximized seating capacity to best simulate real-world cooking and serving work experiences for students, such as teaching formal wait service. It also allows for the subdividing of the dining area into three smaller areas to best fit ongoing programmatic needs. The instructional kitchen area of the space simulates the look and feel of a professional dining facility. The culinary program expansion is a professionalgrade kitchen facility built with students in mind.
