Scott Booth, NCARB
Scott Booth joined the MHAworks team in Pittsboro as a Project Architect. Born in Memphis but raised on the coast of Mississippi, Scott graduated from the School of Architecture at Mississippi State University in 1995. He acquired over 17 years of experience at firms throughout the Jackson, MS area before opening his own business in 2013, doing design/build work for various contractors. Scott and his family relocated to North Carolina in 2017 in search of a better economic climate, though Scott says the thought of being flanked by mountains on one side of the state and ocean on the other held great appeal as well. Scott is licensed in the state of North Carolina and Mississippi. In his capacity as a project architect, he is responsible for assisting with projects located primarily in Chatham County and surrounding areas.
In addition to designing and constructing buildings, Scott enjoys woodworking, traveling, fishing, and hunting, and he is a self-proclaimed motorcycle and “hot rod” enthusiast. He and his wife Penny have been married for 12 years, and they have two sons, Nash and Quinn.
