Luis Hernandez, AIA, NCARB
Luis Hernandez is a project architect with 20 years of experience in all phases of design and construction. His range of design expertise covers education (K-12), facilities for higher learning and scientific research, industrial facilities, commercial, retail, banking, restaurants, hospitality, and single and multi-family projects across the southeast. Originally from Miami, Florida, Luis began his journey in architecture after taking a mechanical drafting class in high school. He later earned his architecture degree from the University of Kentucky and went on to earn his initial architectural license in the state of Florida.
Luis enjoys solving the functional and technical aspects of a given project and works to arrive at solutions that distill the essence of the clients’ program with a focus on simplicity and efficiency. He believes that design and construction are an inherently optimistic pursuit based on the human need for improving our world. In his free time Luis enjoys cycling, traveling, and photography with an emphasis on the natural world and urbanism / architecture, books on history and philosophy, and sports – specifically football and basketball.
