Remembering Mayor Mac “Bear” Hodges of Washington, NC

The City of Washington, NC lost a leader, a legend, and a friend this week. On Wednesday, August 12, Mayor Mac “Bear” Hodges passed away due to complications from COVID-19.
Mayor Hodges was beloved by his community — his strong leadership, vision for the people of Washington, and support of his Alma mater, East Carolina University, will be greatly missed.
Over the last 30+ years, MHAworks has developed close ties to the community, and our thoughts and prayers go out to family, friends, and the city of Washington during this difficult time.
