MHAworks Celebrates the Completion of the Creedmoor Community Center
Apr 30 2021
On a warm and sunny day in April, the Creedmoor Community Center opened its doors to the public, marking a new era for the city to better serve its community. As the architect of record, MHAworks was invited to celebrate the occasion through a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 27.
The new and improved Creedmoor Community Center features a renovation to the existing building to include a rentable ballroom for community and private events, a flexible classroom space that can be divided into two spaces, an aerobic exercise room, a computer lab, the South Granville Senior Center complete with a prep kitchen, administrative offices, and a sunroom leading outside to a spacious deck.
This project also features the addition of a recreational facility that includes a full-size basketball court, an open exercise area with gym equipment, an indoor walking track, and recreation staff office space. Just outside of the gymnasium, you will find a partially shaded, paved walking track and a multipurpose athletic field.
“We are thrilled to open the Creedmoor Community Center to the public,” say Angie Perry, Recreation and Events Coordinator for the City of Creedmoor. “It has been a long year without recreational events and programs. We can’t wait to bring the community back together in this new space.”
