Recently MHAworks finished another renovation at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Over the years MHAworks has had many other projects with Duke University, including previous work with the Fuqua School of Business as well facilities for the men’s basketball team. Currently we are working with Duke on a six dorm renovation as well as a off-campus private student housing development, The Blue Light Living. We take pride in providing Duke a place that meets the standards of its world-class curriculum.
The recent project involved the renovation of the historic Faculty Hall at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business to create a tiered lecture hall with seating for up to 84 students. The tiers utilized an expanded foam block base with a concrete topping, supporting fixed tables with custom Corian solid surface tops. MicroPerf acoustic wall panels were installed into the South side of the classroom to improve acoustics and provide privacy, they also blend nicely with the existing wood panels in the historic Faculty Hall. This room will be used for some of the most popular classes at Fuqua as well as lectures and events that attract a large number of students.
