Creating an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan which facilitates adherence to the ADA and Section 504 in an actionable and economically feasible manner can be daunting, especially when many experts on such matters are nationally based.
MHAworks is an architectural practice headquartered in Durham, NC with multiple offices across North Carolina. We focus on local client services including the facilitation of Accessibility Assessments and the creation of ADA Transition Plans for entire campuses or multiple structures for one owner. MHAworks has worked with North Carolina State Departments, Higher Education institutions, Municipalities, and private clients to generate/update ADA Transition Plans and implement prioritized accessibility improvements in a systematic manner. Currently we are finalizing an ADA Transition Plan for the North Carolina Department of Transportation that includes over 500 structures state wide.
Having access to a local resource with the expertise to navigate the complex issues of accessibility has proven instrumental in removing hurdles to the development of ADA Transition Plans.
