MHAworks Welcomes Peter Looper

June 1st, 2017

MHAworks is excited to welcome Peter Looper to our Asheville office as a Project Architect with a primary focus on healthcare facilities. With over 35 years of experience in the field of architecture and design, and having worked in Washington, Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina, Peter is an excellent resource not just to the team in Asheville, but to the company as a whole.

Peter received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1984, going on to receive his Masters of Architecture in 1991 from Virginia Tech. After working in Atlanta for some time, he and his family moved to Asheville in 1995 to raise two daughters.

Throughout his career, Peter has had extensive experience with medical, educational, and commercial projects. As such, Peter exhibits a well-rounded knowledge of all areas of the architectural and design process, including design, production, and project management. Peter has worked on several historic renovations in western North Carolina, bringing new life to some of the area’s most important and beloved structures, including Asheville High School, The Jones Farm House on the Biltmore Estate, and The Swannanoa Valley Museum in Black Mountain.
